Why Terra Solar

We operate differently than most solar companies. No stress, no high pressure sales just a focus on helping you save money. If you aren’t delighted with your experience, we haven’t done our job.

Professionally Installed

One Integrated Team

Most solar companies you buy from don’t install your panels. Because of this, most solar consultants can’t guarantee the quality of their work and it creates a headache for you if something goes wrong down the road. At Terra Solar, we stand behind our work because our certified and trained engineering and installation technicians do the work.

What Sets Us Apart

We do things differently.

25 year performance guarantee

If the panels don’t produce the power we promised, we’ll pay the difference.

20 year panel warranty

When you buy from Terra, you get peace of mind. If the panels aren’t working at peak efficiency, we will replace them at no cost to you.

10 year workmanship guarantee

We will treat your home like our own. Due to that, we offer a guarantee on all work completed during installation.

Complete transparency

We will never push or pressure you and you’ll be in the loop every step of the process. Terra Solar is dedicated to building a long-term relationship of trust with you. We know that trust requires transparency.

FAQ

With electric rates increasing 4-7% every year, solar gives you the chance to lock in your electric costs forever. It also increases the value of your home, and is the single largest contribution a homeowner can make to reducing their carbon footprint.

Yes! With the current programs in place in Missouri, you can come close to or completely eliminate your electric bill. This is done through a process called “Net Metering”. The goal with solar is that your panels produce a little more electricity than you need, which means you won’t owe the power company anything.

Every system is different because we all use energy differently. Homeowners that qualify can install a new solar system for no upfront cost, and typically see savings in the first year or two.

Although you may be able to go “off-grid”, our standard solar system is a “grid-tied” system. This means that you are still connected to the utility company for any additional electric needs that you may encounter. You also are able to use the utility company as a “battery” with net metering, because it “stores” the energy that you over produce giving you a credit that you can use later.

Yes, solar panels can use both direct and indirect sunlight to generate power. During cloudy days, solar panels will continue to capture indirect sunlight, even though they’re most efficient in direct sunlight.

Every Terra customer has 24/7 system monitoring where they can see how much energy each panel is producing at all times. If there is an issue with a panel, simply contact us and we will make sure we do everything we can to get that panel back up and running in a timely manner.

Adding solar to your home can increase the value of your home by up to 5%. When your home is sold, you’ll be able to benefit from the higher home value and the new homeowner will be able to benefit from the solar that was installed on the home.
